Our story

Talent hunters, not order takers.

Bob Collins founded UBC to bring two decades of hands-on recruiting to companies that need to get key hires right. Partner Joe Meyer leads partnerships and business development, and strategic HR partner Greg Davis adds more than 25 years of HR leadership. Our team has hired for startups, PE-backed firms and Fortune 500 enterprises.

We act as an extension of your leadership team. That can mean running a confidential executive search, embedding recruiters in your hiring, delivering search under your firm's brand or stepping in as your HR leader. Our role is to find, attract and keep the right people, so you can focus on growing the business.

Every search runs on our proprietary AI, built on Perplexity and Claude, for insight into the markets our clients hire in and for mapping talent by what people have actually done. Our partners add the HR expertise, the read on personality and culture fit, and the relationships that get the right person to say yes.

Bob founded UBC and the talent-sourcing resource SourcingBeast.com, leads UBC's retained searches and advises leadership teams through acquisitions and expansion.

Joe Meyer

Joe ran business development for seven years at The Sourcing Institute, where he also served as COO, and at Hire4ce, which supplied sourcers to Fortune 100 companies. Before that he spent a decade in construction and development. LEED AP.

Greg Davis

Strategic HR Consulting Partner

A veteran HR strategist with more than 25 years in human resources across multiple industries. Greg started and managed two franchise businesses, giving him firsthand insight into multi-location operations. He is SHRM-certified, a published voice on talent and culture, and leads UBC's fractional HR and HR consulting work.
